Tomás Lozano is an instrumentalist, vocalist and composer born in Barcelona, Spain, and raised in southern Spain and Catalonia. He is known for his eclectic musicianship and iconic performances of Spain’s traditional ballads sung in Castilian, Catalan and Galician. Tomás also performs his original compositions and folk music from France, Spain, Britain, the Middle East and Sephardic cultures. He currently performs with Daily Bread & Butter, Viva la Pepa!, Kativar, Istanbul Breeze, Salaam, Simkhe, Celtica and Tamango. He is a visiting scholar at IU. Tomás has performed throughout Europe, the U.S., Canada, Mexico and Costa Rica.
