Cavit hails from the city of Tabriz in northwest Iran. Musically active since childhood, Cavit left Iran after the 1979 Iranian revolution in search of more personal and artistic freedom. He moved to Turkey where he found many opportunities to pursue this musical career. A frequent guest on Turkish Radio and Television, he has performed at major concert halls and festivals in Turkey and Europe. As an artist and cultural practitioner, he concertized at the Ministry of Culture of Turkey and collaborated on multiple projects pertaining Turkic music and dance. Cavit has been an international member and collaborator with the Silk Road for several years and recently completed his second North American concert tour. (www.cavittebrizli.com).
