Sofia Bolivar 
















Sofia Bolivar is a junior Percussion Performance Undergraduate at the Jacob School of Music at Indiana University. She hails from Miami, Florida, but comes from a Colombian family. She did band and drumline during four years of high school at Westminster Christian School. At IU, she has been a member of the Percussion Ensemble, Symphonic Band, Latin Jazz Ensemble, and the Brazilian Percussion Ensemble. She is also a principal percussionist with the Miami Sousa Band. She has studied with John Tafoya, Kevin Bobo, Joe Galvin, and Joseph Gramley at IU. Sofia has been taking advantage of the amazing facilities and opportunities offered at IU and is very happy to work with the Silk Road Ensemble to help expand her musical experiences.
