Sema Yazgan received her music education from the Conservatory of Music at Ege University in the city of Izmir (known as Smyrna in the Greco-Roman time), the third largest city of the Republic of Turkey.  After graduating from the Conservatory, she taught music at middle and high schools in Turkey. She is also active as a solo and orchestral performer. While teaching in public schools in the city of the Bodrum, the Turkish Rivera city located on the Aegean Sea, Sema performed as the lead vocalist of the Bodrum Turkish Music Choir.  Her solo album, arranged by Fuat Sakaya, a famous composer, singer, songwriter, arranger, and guitarist of modern Turkish music, came out in 2001.
